Labeling
Always an experiment, and individualized for each wine
From the onset, despite being a home-craft nano-boutique winery, Romanza has been intentional to follow TTB regulations. The TTB dictates not only the familiar warning label, it also dictates sizing of text, etc. The first couple of seasons of Romanza ferments were labeled with a "front" and a "back" label, centered opposite each other on the bottle. The result is very professional looking and matches what most production wineries do. Because Romanza's batches are so small, our process is done by hand and a labor of love.
A process of improvement
Romanza's labels are standardized for bottle shapes: this label is for a 375 mL bottle. The layout keeps a familiar aesthetic while still maintaining TTB requirements. For the late 2021 ferments and beyond, Romanza revised their bottle labels where the "front" and "back" are on a single label. This reduced the labor time involved for that process (all done by hand).
